The Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) Diver Specialty is the most popular PADI Specialty course available. Scuba diving with
Enriched Air Nitrox lets you safely extend your no decompression limits, which means more time underwater. Typically, you can
stay down longer and get back in the water sooner, no wonder that this the most popular scuba diving specialty offered!Enriched Air
Nitrox replaces some of the nitrogen in the air with oxygen giving you and enriched mix in your dive tanks. This means you absorb
less nitrogen during your scuba dive, giving you longer no decompression limits. It is especially beneficial in the 60 to 100 foot
range where it gives you more of what you got into diving for – time underwater!
During the course, you will learn techniques for getting
more dive time by using enriched air nitrox, dive equipment considerations, and how to plan your enriched air nitrox dives.
Diving with enriched air nitrox benefits all types of scuba diving but goes especially well with the Wreck Diver, Deep Diver, and Digital Underwater Photographer courses.
