For nearly a decade , we at Stingray Divers have prided ourselves in the service, sales, instruction, and travel we have provided to the Northeast's diving community. We were the first and are still one of the only dive shops to offer Nitrox, Trimix, and Argon fills in New York City. Because we are owned and operated by very active divers, you can be sure your getting information based on first-hand experience. On the rare occasions that we can't answer your questions, we will refer you to those who can. The desire to make happy, safe divers is at the heart of our philosophy.

We make it our business to keep up with change in the dive industry to bring you the highest level of service and support. Our staff are highly trained in repair and maintenance of all the equipment we sell, regularly and attend classes to brush up on skills and learn to service new products. Realizing we cannot know everything ourselves, we rely on a network of other professionals and industry contacts to keep abreast of important changes. We monitor Internet news groups and web pages for information, opinions, and ideas. We read the technical journals and all the top dive magazines. We commit resources to testing products by major vendors, in part to help understand them, and where possible, to help shape the final products.

Paul Journet, the owner, a PADI Divemaster and avid wreck diver, has been diving for over 30 years. He most enjoys catching lobsters and has even been known to push interesting artifacts out of the way to get to the lobsters.

Paul is an expert equipment repair technician. His many years of experience and extensive training in servicing dive equipment are evident in the quality of his work. He takes pride in offering you the highest level of service -- no job is finished until he is satisfied enough to dive with it himself. In addition, he inspects all repairs done by the staff before they go out the door. He takes pride in maintaining the cleanest compressor in New York City.
